Standard Training & Operating Procedures

1. Daily Headcount Deployment Tracking

A constant headcount deployment tracking report from all branches to head-quarters up to the top management level.

2. Quality Management Audit
To ensure that the Client's expectations and requirements are met and the quality of service is maintained.

These audits are carried out by our Customer Service team affecting the entire spectrum of services provided and all levels of function from Supervisory to Security Assistant operational level.

The audit team is tasked with the responsibility to continuously review and revise all applicable training programmes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), type and nature of services, supervisory standards, reporting procedures, customer relationship protocol and the forms and reporting format used and submits recommendation to upgrade the service.

3. Change of Shift Daily Roll-Call

A systematic and planned daily roll call conducted by middle management to ensure punctuality and tidiness.

In the roll call, all Security Assistants are updated on any new process and procedure.

4. Buffer and Relief Security Assistant

We provide immediate buffer and relief security personnel as contingency plan.

All relief security personnel provided during emergencies or sudden replacements will be from our pool of personnel.

Subject to any extraordinary circumstance, we attempt to meet the turn over time of one hour when dispatching these relief security personnel.

5. Key Performance Indicator (KPI)

All Security personnel are constantly evaluated based on several key performance indicators (KPI).

The KPI is essential to ensure consistency and determination of the security personnel when discharging their duties in the respective assignment.

Those who fail to meet the KPI will be dismissed upon serving of sufficient penalty, notice and warning.

Securigold Sdn Bhd will ask the Client to evaluate its standard and quality of service on a quarterly basis, using criteria mutually agreed upon between the Client and Securigold Sdn Bhd at the outset.

This evaluation process will involve both the Client and Securigold Sdn Bhd in systematically evaluating the management support, deployment of headcount, quality of security service and scope of works as expected by the Client.

All applicants will be subjected to proper medical screening by our appointed panel of clinics.

This is to ensure that personnel of Securigold Sdn Bhd are free from any drug abuse, HIV, H5N1 or any type of chronic disease that will disqualify him/her from holding any post as security personnel.

All selected security personnel shall be vetted for any criminal record. 

Securigold Sdn Bhd will provide the official vetting result for record purposes upon request from the Client and the types of vetting process employed are:

8.1 Royal Malaysian Police Force verbal vetting.
8.2 Third Party background investigation vetting.
8.3 Ministry of Home Affairs criminal vetting.

Securigold Sdn Bhd will prepare an incident report on any incident for the Client, complete with summary and corrective actions taken.

Securigold Sdn Bhd will assist to lodge a police report should the incident require such action.

10. On-The-Job Training and Familiarization

Prior to deployment, the security personnel will be given adequate and sufficient briefing and orientation on the operational workflow at their respective security posts, including the need to use related documents/forms as required by the Client for each assignment.

The Client will be invited to participate in the briefing by Securigold Sdn Bhd, on the standard operating procedures of the Client.

The security personnel will then be deployed to the security post under the supervision of trained security personnel.

All security personnel will be re-assessed and evaluated from time to time.

A work assessment report will be generated for each personnel to measure their performance and those who fail the assessment test will be sent for re-training and briefing, and if proven un-trainable, terminated.

11. Spot Check and Patrolling

Unscheduled checks will be conducted from time to time to ensure attendance and alertness on the part of personnel deployed.

12. Scope of Works (SOW), Standard Procedure in Operation (SPO) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

Our Security and Escort personnel will comply to Clients’ SOP when conducting an escort or guarding exercise. 

In addition, the SOP of Securigold Sdn Bhd can be tailored to suit a Client’s specific need.

13. Security Awareness Programme

A unit integrity awareness programmed to be implemented with every individual through references, refresher courses, monitoring and audit system to ensure and enhance the credibility, competency and self confidence in carrying out their daily duties.

Standard Training and Certification Procedures and Programmes

1. Ministry of Home Affairs compulsory training

All newly recruited Security Assistants are subject to the four-day compulsory training as prescribed by Ministry of Home Affairs.

2. Training Module One to Six For Security Assistants

All Security Assistants undergo a three-day training programmed in special topics such as security guidelines, professional practice, conflict management and escalation process strategies.

Upon completion of the training, Security Assistants will go through an assessment with the passing mark of 75% and they are allowed to re-sit should they fail on three occasions.

3. Quarterly Refresher Training

This is a refresher training on Module One to Six to ensure that the Security Assistants are able to understand the SOW/SPO, processes, procedures and rules and regulations in performing their duties.

The process of refresher training is conducted twice a year for every Security Assistant to ensure competency in job knowledge.

4. Firearms Shooting Training Certification

It is conducted on a yearly basis to improve efficiency in the handling and usage of firearms.

This is a training programmed for all armed personnel conducted by a Trainer from the Royal Malaysian Police Force.

The Royal Malaysian Police Force will issue a certificate of competency to all armed personnel who pass the training.

5. NCO Certification

This is the New Contractor Orientation for the Security Assistants to fulfill the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and to address and meet general safety guidelines of Clients. 

6. NIOSH Certification

This is under the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health.
It’s a compulsory one- day training to be attended by every Security Assistant for a safety and health certification.

7. AELB Certification

This is under the Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB), which certifies the Security Assistants who are involved in the handling and operating of any X-Ray machine and equipment.

The Security Assistant is required by the AELB to undergo a medical check-up by an authorized doctor before being certified as a Radiation Worker. 

8. Lung Test Certification

The Security Assistants have to undergo the medical test and be certified to ensure their fitness level before being assigned to their posts.
